"When life becomes something out of a fiction novel, that's when things become interesting."
A wise man can learn more from a foolish question, than a fool can learn from a wise answer. So ask away...
My name is Rebecca Yolanda Sindy Perez, I am currently a junior in high school, attending a rather small school in the South Bronx. Reading and writing are the biggest passions in my life, and every day it brings me to a new world I didn't think existed. Honestly, no matter what may happen in the future, I know for an absolute fact that I will be writing for the rest of my life. I am currently working on two novels at the moment, and none of my work is published, but why should that stop me? (It might be one day, after all.)
I'm in this amazing group called "Power Writers", any of you who have seen the documentary "To Be Heard" know what group I am referring to.
I am also one of the first members in a club the teacher who started it entitled "The Spades Club". Which is where students can come and play spades, and whenever you lose a game you have to read 4 chapters of a book. The club was started so that students in my school who are not accustomed to reading or like it, can begin to.
I want to continue sharing my life in writing, reading and everything in between here in this blog and I do hope there is someone out there reading all of this.
If you find a girl who reads, keep her close. When you find her up at 2 AM clutching a book to her chest and weeping, make her a cup of tea and hold her. You may lose her for a couple of hours but she will always come back to you. She’ll talk as if the characters in the book are real, because for a while, they always are. Date a girl who reads because you deserve it. You deserve a girl who can give you the most colorful life imaginable. If you can only give her monotony, and stale hours and half-baked proposals, then you’re better off alone. If you want the world and the world’s beyond it, date a girl who reads. Robert Pattinson
